Orihuela

Orihuela, located in the south of the province of Alicante, is the capital of the region of the Vega Baja del Segura. It borders on the Region of Murcia.

The river Segura flows through the city. Its historic centre has been declared a historic, artistic and monumental area, and the wealth of museums, chapels and historic buildings make Orihuela a great place to visit

The Spanish poet Miguel Hernández was born and lived in this city.
